The Athens Community Center offers supervised after school care.
This is available for students that attend East Elementary (Kindergarten to 3rd grade) (very limited spaces available for 4th & 5th grade to attend from The Plains Elem.). within the Athens City School District. Students will have the opportunity to participate in quality after school care. Students will have homework time where staff will help tutor the students. Teacher planned movement and craft time will also be provided. Students will also be given choices for fun engaging activities!
Schedule:
3:45 Arrival/Snack
4:00 Large gross motor play either inside or outside
4:30 Choice of movement activity or craft/enrichment activity
5:00 Homework & Independent choice time
5:30 Dismissal
This is a licensed Day Care Program through ODJFS and will enroll up to 40 children.
Registration takes place in-person at the Athens Community Center.
If Athens City School are Closed due to weather the After School Program will also be CLOSED
If Athens City Schools are on a early release schedule due to weather the After School Program will also be CLOSED
