Pay Parking Fines:
By city ordinance, fines are substantially increased if a parking ticket is not paid within five consecutive days. Parking tickets may be paid as follows:
- Online
- In person at the Athens Police Department 24/7 By phone at (877)224-7838
- By placing the parking ticket and exact fine amount in the courtesy envelope provided and depositing it in the yellow courtesy boxes located on various meters throughout the metered parking area
Do not place your parking tickets in a U.S. Postal Service mailbox. Should you need to pay a traffic ticket, please visit the Athens County Municipal Court website by clicking here.
Parking Garage Parking Permits:
Click here to apply for a virtual parking permit for the parking garage above the 3rd floor Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, select "Agency" City of Athens. Important-these permits are only valid for the parking garage and cannot be used for any on-street meter parking. Online Incident Reporting Form
The purpose of this is to allow the citizens of the City of Athens, Ohio, visitors or any victim of a crime committed within the city limits, to file certain police reports online.
If the incident you wish to report is an emergency, a crime-in-progress, or involves any type of physical injury, please do not submit an online report, call 911 immediately.
The theft of a firearm or of prescription medication, narcotic or otherwise CANNOT be reported online. For any incident that requires a police officer to respond call 911 or the non-emergency number 740-592-3313.
Before you proceed, you should be aware that it is a crime to make a false police report and all instances of such will be prosecuted. This online reporting system is only to be used to report a limited set of criminal incidents with very specific criteria, listed below.
